STATEMENT OF MEETING PROCEDURES - Read by Clerk.
PUBLIC COMMENT – Ellile Waller, Friends of Tahoe Vista, requested staff invite the applicant, Highlands LLC, to conduct a public hearing on the proposed Martis Camp Beach Shack in Tahoe Vista. Megan Chillemi, North Tahoe Regional Advisory Council member, expressed concern of the location of the Tahoe Expedition Academy and Wagoner’s Training and Learning Center and requested finalization of the Community Plans. 3) Mary Nell Hartnett, Tahoe City Resident, expressed concern with the Martis Valley West Project and asked how the public would be informed of when and where meetings are. 4) Tom Bert, Tahoe Vista/Kings Beach resident, warned the county of current liability it is taking unless action is taken toward allowed uses in Kings Beach, including the TEA school. 5) Ann Nichols, voiced concern of no public notice of the Martis Valley project. 6) Steve Miller, Kings Beach resident, said a dog kennel would not be an allowable use under the new community plan to be adopted and requested any new business that falls out of the allowable use of the new plan at least go through a use permit process before approval.
2. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT RESOURCE AGENCY
a. Tahoe Basin Community Plan Update Workshop
1. Received a status update on the Tahoe Basin Community Plan Update.
2. Received a status update on implementation of the Tahoe Basin Community Plan Update and workshop to address challenges, opportunities and potential interim steps prior to implementation.
There is no fiscal impact associated with these actions; however the Tahoe Basin Community Plan Update has been budgeted and totals $569,500 for the FY 2013-14 and FY 2014-15.
3. Reception – Hosted by the North Tahoe Business Association, the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, the Tahoe City Downtown Association, and the West Shore Association at the Tahoe City Visitors Information Center, 100 North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City.
