Sheridan Municipal Advisory Council (MACs)
Municipal Advisory Councils (MACs) are groups of residents from the local community who advise the Board of Supervisors on concerns. They are open forums where information about land use, transportation and general county information is shared and discussed. Residents can attend these meetings in their own community and talk about issues that are important to them.
Schedules can change and meetings are occasionally cancelled, so call 530-889-4010 to confirm meeting dates, times and locations.

Jim Houck - Chairman Construction
"As a MAC member I try to talk to different people from our community who can't attend the MAC meetings regularly to find out what their feelings are and to listen to what they worry about."
Lee Bastien - Community Leader
"The MAC is important because we have the opportunity to represent the community to the Board of Supervisors. It's refreshing to know we have a voice in our local government."
Turgay Ozcan - CEO of Featherlite Trailers
There is an excellent relationship between the MAC and Placer County Supervisor Robert Weygandt. I appreciate him that even with his busy schedule he is responsive, accessible and keeps us informed."
Dean Reed - Owner/President of Performance Cryogenics
“The MAC meetings are important because they are small enough, and local, so that members of the public feel that they can come and voice their opinions.”
Dan Cook - Identity Services Manager-Adventist Health
“The MAC is important in order for community members to voice opinions so that Supervisor Weygandt knows what is going on in Sheridan”.
