Public Information Office (PIO)

PIO is the information link between Placer County, its communities and residents, and the media.

The Public Information Office serves all county departments providing information to residents, news media, community groups, county employees, and others. This office produces and publishes Placer County’s weekly E-newsletter, prepares and distributes news releases, answers media inquiries, produces written materials such as brochures, fliers, and other literature; plans press conferences; promotes special events; provides media relations and public relations counsel to county departments; and contributes relevant information to the county’s website.
